화려한 행보, 예상을 뛰어 넘는 진중한 매력
폴란드의 작곡가이자 피아노 연주자인 크쥐스토프 코빌린스키는 폴란드의 에스노 재즈 페스티벌 팜재즈(PalmJazz)의 크리에이터이자 디렉터이다. 그는 재즈 뿐만 아니라 다양한 월드뮤직과 전자음악, 네오 클래시컬 음악에 관심이 많으며, 그것이 본인의 음악에도 반영된다. 그는 재조비아 센터(Jazovia Centre)라는 이름의 공간을 조성하여 여러 뛰어난 음악가들의 공연을 기획하고 있으며, 앞서 말한 팜재즈 페스티벌은 물론 필하모니아 페스티벌(Filharmonia Festival)이라는 축제의 예술감독을 맡고 있다. 에스노 재즈 오케스트라, KK 펄스(KK Pearls) 등 다양한 포맷의 밴드를 구성하여 활동하기도 한다. 이렇게 다양한 활동과 커리어를 가진 크쥐스토프 코빌린스키의 솔로 연주는 예상을 뛰어 넘는 매력이 있다. 그가 다양한 에스노 음악이나 역동적인 측면에 관심이 있는 것은 사실이나, 솔로 연주자로서의 크쥐스토프 코빌린스키는 진중하면서도 깊이 있는 연주로 차분하면서도 힘이 느껴진다. 다양한 행보와 함께 뚜렷한 자신만의 음악 세계를 보여주고 있는 폴란드의 멋진 음악가를 이제 자라섬에서 만날 수 있다.

Krzysztof Kobyliński is a Polish composer, pianist, author of several music albums based on jazz, ethno, neoclassic and electronic music. Also, he is a Founder and Director of ethno-jazz festival “Palmjazz” (October-November) and Cultural Centre “Jazovia” – both located in Gliwice town, southern Poland.
“Creating music, I don”t find the music, I rather discover it in my mind and show existing parts of it from my depth. I analyze, choose and combine them into whole, I compose finally”.
Krzysztof Kobyliński attempts of the multi-level pieces creation with many formal layers. Each of his composed pieces becomes particularly relevant when we think of artistic true comprehension. His music creation it”s an individual process joined with different factors and elements from surroundings. He strives to show sensual side of reality in comprehensive way for audience feelings.
This year Krzysztof Kobyliński will perform his music in many prestigious festivals all over the world, among others: London Jazz Festival, Montreal Jazz Festival, Lisboa Mistura, Jarasum International Jazz Festival (South Korea), Valdeisa Jazz Festival (Chile), Globus Jazz Festival (Israel), and Freiberg Jazz Festival (Germany).
