독창적인 아름다움과 신선함을 지닌 에오 트리오
자라섬국제재즈페스티벌은 최근 들어 해외에 거주하며 활발히 활동중인 한국 연주자를 초청하여 자라섬 무대에서의 공연기회를 지원하고, 그들의 음악을 소개하고 있다. 올해는 프랑스에서 활동중인 재즈보컬리스트 이민정과 피아니스트 허대욱이 주축이 된 에오 트리오를 초청하여 이들의 음악을 소개하고자 한다.
에오 트리오는 피아니스트 허대욱을 주축으로 2013년에 구성되어 4년 동안 단단한 팀웍을 통해 트리오의 기능적 한계를 넘어 새로운 도전을 향해 끊임없이 발전하고 있는 트리오이다. 현재 프랑스와 한국을 오가며 활발한 활동을 펼치고 있다. 리더인 피아니스트 허대욱은 2014년 LIG문화재단의 연간 협력 아티스트로 선정된 바 있으며, 그 해 piano solo 와 piano trio 그리고 String Orchestra 와의 협연 등 다양한 연주와 다채로운 음악적 언어로 에오 트리오의 본격적인 행보를 시작하였다. 4년 동안 함께 해 온 베이시스트 알렉시 꾸튀호와 드러머 케빈 뤼께띠는 허대욱의 작품을 재해석하고 긴밀하게 소통할 수 있는 최고의 멤버들이라 할 수 있다.
에오 트리오의 음악은 트리오 사운드를 뛰어 넘어 동서양 문화의 융합과 오케스트라적인 사운드에 포커스를 맞춤으로써 새로운 사운드를 이끌어냄과 동시에 각 악기들의 특징과 앙상블의 유기적인 균형도 잃지 않는다. 매 연주마다 독창적인 아름다움과 신선함을 선사하는 에오 트리오, 이들의 음악이 궁금하다면 10월 21일 페스티벌 라운지 공연을 놓치지 말자.
Unique beauty and freshness, HEO Trio
Recently Jarasum International Jazz Festival invites Korean musicians living in and actively performing in other countries, gives them opportunities to perform at Jarasum stages, and introduces their music. This year, HEO Trio with jazz vocalist Minjeong Lee and pianist Daeuk Heo perform actively in France will be introduced.
Since 2013 when the HEO Trio was formed by Deauk Heo, the team has continuously developed with strong teamwork beyond its technical limits aiming for new challenges for 4 years.
Currently, the team actively plays their music both in Korea and France.
The leader, pianist Daeuk Heo, was selected as a yearly cooperative artist with LIG Cultural Foundation in 2014, he started serious work as HEO Trio with various musical languages and different performances as a piano solo, trio and String Orchestra. Bassist Alexis Coutureau and drummer Kevin Lucchetti have been with Heo for 4 years and they are the best members who can deeply communicate and reanalyze his music pieces.
Music of HEO Trio moves forward beyond trio sound focusing on hamonization of East and Western cultures and orchestral sound, as well as does not lose its organic balance of ensemble and each musical instrument.
