플룻으로 다양한 재즈의 색깔을 보여주는 플루티스트 김은미
플룻이라는 관악기로 재즈 및 여러 장르의 음악을 연주하는 김은미는 보스톤 버클리 음대에서 수학하고 돌아와 애플 재즈오케스트라 단원을 거쳐 이석훈, 윤종신, 변진섭, 바비킴, 고찬용, 김현철, 존박, 이규호, 바이브, 신용재, 지오디 등의 세션활동과 ‘나는 가수다’, ‘위대한 탄생’, ‘유희열의 스케치북’, ‘EBS 스페이스 공감’, ‘불후의 명곡’ 등 다수의 방송연주 녹음을 하며 활동하고 있다. 2014년에는 집시밴드 ‘라비에벨(La vie est belle)’ 의 리더로 활동하며 첫 앨범<Gypsy Moods>를 발매하였으며, 재즈피플 라이징스타에 선정되기도 하였다.
자신의 음악과 플룻을 필요로 하는 다양한 음악씬에서 활동하며 자신의 영역을 넓혀나가고 있으며, 2016년 7월에는 첫 정규 앨범 <A Throbbing Heart>을 발매하였다. 이 앨범은 그녀가 음악을 하며 느꼈던 감정들을 진솔하게 표현하는 데 중점을 두고 있다. 정통 스윙 리듬과 펑크 리듬, 그리고 현대적인 스타일까지 다양한 색깔의 작품들을 이번 앨범 안에 담았으며, 11곡 모두 본인이 직접 작곡, 제작까지 담당함으로써 프로듀서로서 뛰어난 역량도 함께 선보였다. 올해 자라섬국제재즈페스티벌 공연에서는 1집 앨범의 레퍼토리들로 공연할 예정이며, 앨범 녹음 멤버이기도 한 피아니스트 전용준, 베이시스트 김인영, 드러머 이소월이 함께 한다.
Different colors of jazz, flutist Eunmi Kim
After Eunmi Kim, performing jazz and various genre with the wind instrument flute, studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston and came back to Korea, performed as a member of the Apple Jazz Orchestra. She has performed since, as session of Seokhun Lee, Jongshin Yoon, Jinseob Byeon, Bobby Kim, Chanyoung Ko, Hyuncheol Kim, John Park, Gyuho Lee, Vibe, Yongjae Shin, and god as well as performed at various TV programs such as ‘I’m a Singer’, ‘Great Birth’, ‘Yoo Heeyul’s Sketchbook’, ‘EBS Space’ and ‘Immortal Song’, and recording.
In 2014, Kim was active as a leader of the gypsy band ‘La vie est belle’, released the album <Gypsy Moods>, and named as Jazzpeople’s Rising Star. She participates in various music scenes asked for her music and flute, and widen her music field, released her first regular album <A Throbbing Heart>. This album’s focus is the feelings of Kim while she was with music. To this album, she included different colors of music with traditional swing and funk rhythm and contemporary style. As Kim composed and created the album by herself, she also presented her talent as a producer.
This year at the Jarasum International Jazz Festival, she will perform her first album’s music with her album recording members, pianist Yongjun Chon, bassist Inyoung Kim, and drummer Sowall Lee.
