Creative classes are coming to us. Special chance only for this year, <2017 Jarasum Music Class> is coming to you in October 2017.

Newly organized program <2017 Jarasum Music Class> is an open program for more people to participate following the creative educational biannual program <Jarasum Creative Music Camp> which was praised by young musicians from 2014.

<2017 Jarasum Music Class> changed its format from close to open so anyone with interest can participate the program. The size of class has been extended and there is no age limit.

From Master Class with top tier musicians from the world, Creative Class with nation’s art creators, to Creative Class with discussions on creative music, art, and more topics, More various and fully prepared 2017 Jarasum Music Class!

Class Information

  • Dates and time: October 20(Fri) - 22(Sun), 2017 10:00-18:00
  • Location: Jarasum International Jazz Festival site
  • Participants: Anyone who can sing and play any musical instruments (no limit on type of musical instruments and age) * But, Class Observation is open to anyone interested in music regardless of playing musical instruments.
  • Size of class: Reserved Participants 20 + Class Observation 20 (*differ upon class)
  • Class participation fee: 50,000 KRW (for all classes)
  • Class observation fee: 5,000 KRW (for each class)

Major Program Contents

2017 Jarasum Music Class is not accommodating type program but independent class program. 3~4 classes are planned to provide per day, about 2 hours for one class.

MASTER CLASS

Master class program with world top tier artists

Number of Classes(Planned) : 3
CREATIVE CLASS

Class with domestic art creators that can give new motivation and ideas to class participants and the programs.

Number of Classes(Planned) : 5
CREATIVE TALK

Lively creative music talk time on ‘art’, ‘creative’, ‘music’ and more topics for the participants for communication.

Application Process

Two types of participants for the classes, ‘Reserved Participant’ and ‘Class Observation’

Reserved Participation

Anyone who can participate all music classes and can sing and play any musical instruments

  • Class size: 20 people
  • Participants: Anyone who can sing and play any musical instruments (no restriction on type of musical instruments and age)
  • Application period: September 1(Fri)-September 20(Wed), 2017
  • Participants announcement: September 25, 2017 (Mon)
  • Class participation fee: 50,000 KRW (Must complete payment by September 28 for complete the application)
  • Provides and special treatments
    • All participants must participate all classes
    • Lunchbox per day
    • All attended participants (checking attendance required) will receive an one-day ticket after the last class. (The ticket cannot be transferred to others)

Class Observation

For only classes available for observation. Direct class participation such as playing the musical instruments is not allowed for Class Observation. Open for anyone regardless of playing the musical instruments.

  • Class size: 20 people
  • Participants: Anyone interested in Jarasum Music Class
  • Application period: October 2(Mon)-10(Tue), 2017
  • Participants announcement: October 13, 2017 (Fri) * But, if the seats are not fully booked, on-site application will be available as first-come first-served base.
  • Class observation fee: 5,000 KRW (for one class)
