풍성하고 화려한 재즈 빅밴드의 사운드
한양대학교 실용음악학과에 5년 전 결성된 한양대학교 재즈 빅밴드는 색소폰 5명, 트럼펫 4명, 리듬섹션 4명으로 구성된 전통적인 18인조 재즈 빅밴드이다. 결성 이래 2013년 10월 자라섬 국제 재즈 페스티벌 공연을 시작으로 대학교 축제 및 정기적인 재즈 클럽 공연 등 크고 작은 학내외 공연을 하며 꾸준히 실력을 닦아왔으며, 2015년 8월 중국 상하이 초청공연으로 처음 국제 무대에서 서기도 하였다. 올해 자라섬에서는 기존 18인조 구성에 보다 다양한 연주자들이 함께 참여하며, 그간의 실력을 바탕으로 더욱 풍성하고 화려한 빅밴드 사운드를 들려줄 예정이다.
Rich and colorful sounds of jazz big band
Five years ago, Hanyang University Jazz Big Band was formed at Hanyang University Department of Applied Music is the traditional 18-member jazz big band consisting of 5 saxophonists, 4 trumpeters, and 4 rhythm section. Since its formation, starting October 2013 Jarasum International Jazz Festival performance, the team has performed and built the skills at festivals, regular jazz club performances, and various performances in and out of the university. In August 2015, the first international invited performance was performed in Shanghai, China. This year at Jarasum, various players plus 18 regular members will participate and is expected to give more rich and colorful sound of the big band.
