The13th JARASUM INTERNATIONAL JAZZ FESTIVAL

재즈트럼펫 연주자인 Joep van Rhijn(윱 반 라인)은 네덜란드 Groningen의 Prince Claus Conservatory 을 졸업하고, The Jig, Jamal Thomas Band, The Rotterdam Ska Jazz Foundation, Speelman&Speelman,Flower To The People, Tweed&Sneakers등과 함께 네덜란드를 중심으로 활동하였으며, North Sea Jazz Festival(NL), Swingin' Groningen Festival (NL) ,ZickenStock festival(France) 등 여러 유럽의 페스티벌에 초청받아 연주하였다. 2013년 이후에는 한국에 머물며 울산 재즈 페스티벌, 재즈 인 서울 에서 공연하며 국내 재즈씬에서도 왕성한 활동을 하고 있다. 2016년에는 재즈 피아니스트 전용준, 베이시스트 송인섭과 함께 첫 정규앨범 <Paper Planes>을 발표하였다. 올해 자라섬 무대에서는 앨범에 참여했던 멤버들과 함께 하며, 서정적인 윱 반 라인의 자작곡들과 편안한 정통 재즈 스타일의 곡들로 채워질 예정이다. 맑고 청량한 트럼펫이 중심이 된 이색적인 재즈 트리오, 이들의 공연이 궁금하다면 10월 2일 팔레트 무대를 놓치지 말자.

Since Jazz trumpeter Joep van Rhijn graduated Prince Clause Conservatory in Groningen, Natherland, he has been actively performing with The Jig, Jamal Thomas Band, The Rotterdam Ska Jazz Foundation, Speelman&Speelman, Flower To The People, Tweed&Sneakers mainly in Netherlands. The team has been invited to various European jazz festivals such as North Sea Jazz Festival(NL), Swingin' Groningen Festival (NL), and ZickenStock festival(France). Since 2013, the team has stayed in Korea performing actively in Korean jazz scene such as Ulsan Jazz Festival and Jazz in Seoul. In 2016, working with jazz pianist YoungJun Chon and bassist InSeop Song, the first regular album <Paper Planes> was released. This year at Jarasum, Joep van Rhijn will be with the members from the album performing lyrical Joep van Rhijn's compositions and comfortable traditional jazz style music.
