삶에 대한 태도와 생각을 음악으로 이야기하는 퓨전재즈밴드, 제이파워
퓨전재즈밴드 제이파워는 2007년 음악적 배경이 다른 두 작곡가, 레이첼 곽(리더, 재즈작곡 전공)과 차효송(실용음악 제작 전공)을 주축으로 결성된 팀이다. 이들의 음악은 재즈를 기반으로 R&B, Soul, Rock, Pop, Classic 등 다양한 음악장르의 요소들을 적용하여 음악에 있어서의 “예술성과 대중성”의 균형을 추구한다. 또 탄탄한 음악적 구조 위에 삶에 대한 태도와 생각을 진솔한 음악으로 표현해낸다. 현재까지 1집 앨범 <Body&Soul>(2008), 2집 앨범 <Run To You>(2011), 3집 앨범<The Power of Love>(2015)을 발매하였으며, 2011년에는 KBS 2TV 밴드 오디션 프로그램 '톱 밴드'에서 4강까지 진출해 예술성과 대중성을 겸비한 음악과 연주로 화제를 모은바 있다. 제이파워는 레이첼 곽(건반, 오카리나), 차효송(기타), 이지현(건반), 이상명(기타), 최장군(베이스기타), 김태현(드럼), 총 6명의 연주자로 구성되었으며, 이번 자라섬무대에서는 제이파워만의 섬세하고도 다이나믹한 연주를 들려줄 예정이다.

In 2007, fusion jazz band JPOWER was formed by two composers with different musical backgrounds, Rachel Kwok (leader and jazz composer major) and Cha Hyosong (practical music production major). Their music is jazz based with applying the elements of various musical genres such as R & B, Soul, Rock, Pop, Classic, to seek a balance of "artistry and popularity" of the music. Also the attitudes and thoughts about life on a solid musical structure represented by the honest music. To date, the 1st album <Body & Soul> (2008), 2nd album <Run To You> (2011), and 3rd album <The Power of Love> (2015) were released. In 2011, KBS 2TV band audition program 'Top Band’ up to semi-final, collected public’s attention on both artistry and popularity. JPOWER is consist of 6 musicians Rachel Kwok (keyboard, ocarina), Cha Hyosong (guitar), Lee Ji-hyun (keyboard), Lee Sangmyung (guitar), Choi Jang-gun (bass guitar), and Kim Taehyun (drums). This Jarasum stage will present JPOWER’s unique performances with subtle but dynamic play.
