자라섬국제재즈페스티벌의 파티 스테이지는, 재즈 아일랜드의 감동과 흥분을 그대로 이어받아 축제를 더욱 신나게 즐길 수 있는 라인업으로 항상 사랑 받아왔다. 올해 포커스 국가인 프랑스 출신의 라 카라반 파스는 동유럽의 전통 음악과 스카 풍의 신나는 리듬, 그리고 코믹한 제스처와 랩이 섞인 독특한 컨셉을 가진 집시-록 스타일의 브라스 앙상블로, 파티 스테이지의 흥겨운 분위기를 최고조로 끌어 올려줄 예정이다. 스스로를 ‘초현실주의 집시-록’ 혹은 ‘도시 유목민의 부르짖음’ 등으로 표현하는 라 카라반 파스는, 집시 스타일의 음악처럼 지금까지 수많은 나라를 돌며 공연을 하고있고, 올해로 결성 15주년을 맞이한 관록의 밴드이다. 올해 새 앨범 <Canis Carmina (les chants du chien)>를 발표한 이들은, 함께 공개한 뮤직비디오 ‘Klaxon of a Bip’에서 확인할 수 있듯이 레게와 힙합 등이 가미되어 이전보다 훨씬 업그레이드된 음악으로 자라섬 관객들을 만난다.

In 2001 Toma Feterman a French ex-punk with Polish, Jewish, Romanian background set the caravan in motion. The multi-talented, linguistic genius gathered four crazy and talented French musicians for a project that was more than just an ordinary band. The music of La Caravane Passe, acoustic machinery for his symphony of languages, is a cross between Rock, Dub, Hip Hop and Chanson strongly spiced with Balkan flavor. Singing and grating, Toma Feterman's voice reveals his double nature between La Vie Parisienne and his Soviet soul, whilst Olivier Llugs throws fiery Catalan gypsy passion into his trombone play. The exact riffs by the horns of Cyril Moret match the rhythm engine to drive the dancing crowd onwards.

A weird bunch of thunderstruck cossacks around mastermind Toma Feterman (aka John Lenine of Soviet Supreme), now heading to new destinations. With their new release <Canis Carmina (les chants du chien)>(2016), 2016 will be the year of the chanting dogs continuing their pangalactic journey in Surrealist Gypsy Rock beside 15 years of travel, five albums and one live album as well as a mystic gypsy opera ‘The Real Fake Wedding’.
