M3ks Oriental special feat. Helena 는 오리엔탈 앙상블 밴드로 아랍음악을 연주하는 일본 뮤지션들과 한국인 밸리댄서인 헬레나가 함께 하는 프로젝트 팀이다. 이들은 좀처럼 쉽게 접할 수 없는 아랍음악과 춤을 선보이며, 아랍의 문화를 소개한다. 뮤지션들은 M2k라는 밸리밴드로 일본 뿐 아니라 세계적으로 활동을 하고 있으며, 밸리댄서인 헬레나는 한국 최고의 밸리댄서로 손꼽히며, 국내외로 다양하게 활동중인 밸리댄서이다. 올해 자라섬 연주에서는 다양한 아랍악기와 연주를 선보일 예정이며, 아랍어로는 ‘카만카’라고 불리는 아랍 바이올린(arabic violin) 연주에는 Shin-Chan, 아라빅 키보드(arabic keyboard)에는 Mark, 타블라 중 가장 인기 있는 잔 모양의 북인 다르부카(darbuka)에는 Mitsuru Nagata, 아랍 탬버린인 렛(req)에는 Kana, 그리고 저음용 다르부카인 도호라(dohora), 플레임 드럼인 도후(doff)등에는 최고의 타블라 연주자로 손꼽히는 Tom이 함께 연주한다. 또, 헬레나 외에도 두명의 밸리댄서가 함께 할 예정이며, 아랍음악과 아름다운 밸리댄스를 함께 즐길 수 있는 이색적인 공연이 될 것이다.
M3ks Oriental Special feat. Helena is an oriental ensemble band, a project team with Japanese musicians playing Arabic music and a Korean belly dancer, Helena. The perform rare genre Arabic music and dance, introducing Arabic culture. The musicians perform actively as a belly band M2k not only in Japan but worldwide, while the belly dance Helena is known as the best belly dancer in Korea performing nationwide.
This year at Jarasum the team will showcase a variety of Arabic instruments and play, an Arabic violine called "ka Salamanca" played by Shin-Chan, Arabic keyboard by Mark, the most famous cup shape tabla darbuka by Mitsuru Nagata, an Arabic tambourine req by Kana, and darbuka for low melody dohora and frame drum doff by the best tabla player Tom.
In addition, with Helena, two belly dancers will join the stage, it would be unique performances that the audience enjoy Arabic music with beautiful belly dance.
